Groundhogs and Marmots

Happy Marmot Day, everybody! While most people were concerned with a groundhog in Pennsylvania (okay, more likely extreme cold and raging blizzards), most of the libraries in Western Colorado celebrated Marmot Day. The marmot is the mascot of a consortium of libraries here, and since the marmot is closely related to the groundhog we kind of went a little crazy.

Here we have Librarian(s) of the Year Nancy Pearl (complete with shushing action!) and Albert Einstein celebrating the glory of marmots.

And here's a better view of Einstein and his piles of groundhog and marmot-related literature. And a random pinecone.

So we're kind of crazy, but at least I can say we have fun at work. We dressed them all up for Halloween too, and Einstein's going to be rocking the cupid look in a few weeks.
